If you’ve never been to Stone Mountain park, you should! It’s a must-see attraction for anyone living in or visiting Georgia.
Stone Mountain Park is listed in Frommer’s 500 Places to Visit with Your Kids Before They Grow Up and cited by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as one of “35 Natural Wonders in Georgia You Must See.” Stone Mountain Park is Georgia’s most visited attraction, and is located just 16 miles east of downtown Atlanta.
New for 2016 at Stone Mountain Park is “the Jump,” a thrilling, family-friendly, multi-level free fall drop experience. Guests have the option of three different tower levels to jump onto free fall air bags similar to a stunt professional. This new attraction will open Spring of 2016.
“With heights from just a few feet to two stories tall, each of the three new jumping platforms offers a different challenge,” says Jeanine Jones, spokesperson for Stone Mountain Park. “Located next to Sky Hike and Geyser Towers, the Jump is a unique way for families to get out and get together in the outdoors this spring.”
The Jump is a new thrill attraction integrated into the current Sky Hike compound. Three different towers of 20, 15 and less than 10 feet, offer different levels of family thrills. Amateur stunt jumpers 44 inches (3’8”) and over, fall from their tower of choice onto a large, soft airbag below.
The Jump is included, along with over a dozen other attractions, with any Adventure Pass ticket or Mountain Membership. For more information, special promotions and giveaways, guests are invited to “like” Stone Mountain Park on Facebook at facebook.com/stonemountainpark.
